Thanks to everyone who came to see us at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week. Around 200 people joined trutappers Carl, David, Luke and Vinny at our sponsored Swedish Beers event (no, we’re not Swedish, but yes, we like beer) on Tuesday 12th for a marathon evening of, ahem, “networking”.
We’re already planning our trip for next year. :)
In case you missed it, trutap has been been named as one of the top ten mobile social networks to watch by New Media Age magazine. It's only 14 weeks since we launched - so we're pretty chuffed. It's always nice to be noticed ;)
Last night the University of Portsmouth had their free gig with The Enemy, after beating nine other universities in trutap Battle for The Enemy.

We are thrilled to announce that after four weeks of voting and a fierce competition the University of Portsmouth has come on top of all their rivals to win trutap Battle for The Enemy and get The Enemy, one of the hottest bands in UK, to play for free at their university on December 13th.
Thanks to everyone that voted for their uni, and remember that everyone that voted gets a free beer at the union on the night of the gig in all of the competing universities. All you need to do is show trutap on your phone and the voting confirmation message.
Voting for trutap Battle for The Enemy ends Wednesday December 5th at midnight. You can still vote to get a free gig with The Enemy for your uni. We’ve added more phones to work with trutap so if you were unable to vote before, give it another go! Also, if trutap doesn't work on your phone yet, you can still vote for your favourite uni to get the free gig.

This Monday we launched a mind-blowing campaign, which includes one of the hottest bands in the UK and thousands of crazed University students! We managed to get 10 of the largest universities in the country competing against each other to win a free gig from The Enemy, courtesy of trutap. Contestants will need to vote by sending a trutap message to the contact BFTE (Battle for The Enemy) with the name of their uni. Obviously the University with the most votes wins. It'll be a gruelling competition not to be missed! Who will win the Battle for the Enemy?
